Thanksgiving 2011

I don't have any pics from Thanksgiving b/c as I mentioned before, I broke my camera!  :/  We had a lunch at Matt's grandmother's house and then headed for Pigeon Forge.  It was a short trip, but we had a good time!  We went to Dollywood one day and then the next day we took the kids to golf (which was a complete disaster with a 20 month old), kiddie park and go-carts!  All-in-all, it was a great trip!

Halloween 2011

I don't know what it is about Halloween, but this is the second Halloween that I have broken a camera.  So, I only have a few pics from a church party.  Both the boys were dinosaurs (go figure!).

October was kind of crazy/sad month for us now that think back.  We lost Matt's grandmother, I already mentioned i broke my (very expensive) camera, I had my wisdom teeth removed (some of the worst pain I've had IN-MY-LIFE (and i've had two kids, so that is saying something), emergency room visit for Sawyer (on the day of his Halloween party at school) and a stomach virus that went through the entire family!  BUT, we survived!  :)

Red Ribbon Week - Oct. 2011

Camo Day - Sawyer, Emma and of course Sutton had to be involved too!  ;)  If you know me at all, you know that I despise camo...lol!  I think God really has a sense of humor b/c he gave me 2 boys!  I have to say though, they do look pretty cute in camoflauge!

Rock Star!!

Lyon Farms

Here are some pics from our trip at Lyon Farms last October:

Sutton's first haircut - Sept. 2011

My grandmother has been cutting hair for years and years!  She has done all the grandkids first haircuts.  While she was in for Labor Day last year, she gave Sutton a little trim.  Unfortunetly, my camera died after the first picture.  :(

Our first emergency room visit

We have been very fortunate and have been blessed (for the most part) with healthy children.  Up until August, 2011, we had NO emergency visits...but that all has changed!

The kids and I were at Matt's parents house and the kids were playing around, as usual.  Keep in mind, Sutton hadn't been walking but maybe a month at this time.  Poor thing fell off the couch and landed on his leg.  He couldn't put weight on it.  He would try to walk, but then would just fall the ground.  I called the doctor and they thought I should take him on the ER.  Matt was working, but he met me there.  Sutton was a trooper though!  They took x-rays, which showed no break, but the doctor said with babies the x-rays aren't always accurate if the break/fracture in the growth platelet.  She was going to go ahead and treat as a break and put him in a brace up to his hip, but he was crawling around just fine.  She decided to not put the brace one as that would completely immobilize him...which i'm very thankful for.

We saw the orthopedic doctor that week as well, but said that basically even it was broken, there was nothing he would do for a baby that age.  That just needed to rule out infection, which they did.  He said he should be better in about 2 weeks.  Once he started putting weight on his leg, he walked with a limp for about 2 weeks (which was so pitiful), but after that was fine!

Sawyer starts Pre-K!

Last August, Sawyer started Pre-K.  It was so exciting!  We LOVE his school and his teacher!  I went to school there too, so it is really cool going back there and seeing some of the teachers that I had when I was there.  We are so blessed for the kids to go to such a small and safe school.  Here are some pics from the first day of Pre-K:

Dinosaur Museum

For Sawyer's birthday, Sara and Ryan bought him a ticket to the Space and Rocket Center for the dinosaur museum.  As you could see from his b'day pics....he is OBSESSED with dinosaurs, and still is!  It was a great family day!

Swim Lessons - July 2011

Sawyer took swim lessons last summer, which was a complete F-A-I-L!  Oh well....he had fun!  He actually is showing an interest in the water this year, so I probably should have waited.  I thought about letting him take them again, but going to swim lessons every morning, for two weeks (with a 2 yo in tow) just doesn't sound that appealing.  ;)
